Westworld famously didn’t win any Emmy (in the major categories) this year. The red carpet interviews of the cast and crew of the show are slowly emerging. Only a couple of days back showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy teased ‘disturbing’ Westworld season 2 ‘bloodbath.’
A new interview shows Tessa Thompson (Charlotte Hale) talking warmly about working on the show.
“What Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan are doing is so incredible and mind-boggling, just how they make the show work….really the show is a mystery to us as much as it is to the audience, it continues to unravel and you just feel so lucky to get to do a really engaging television.”
One interviewer caught Rodrigo Santoro (Hector Escaton) and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (Armistice) together and like Tessa, they praised the co-creators and the revered the opportunity to collaborate with “all the amazing talents” in the industry.
Rodrigo added that he loves “the theme of the show” and it’s something that he is personally invested in.
“It’s been so thought-provoking for me that every time I come back from work, it picks my brain and I’m going through a process of transformation,” the actor said.
Ingrid jumped in to point out that Westworld “is a good mirror towards our own awakening as humanity on the planet right now.” Rodrigo immediately concurred saying, “especially now, very current, very very current.”
Like Rodrigo, Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores Abernathy) spoke of her personal growth working on the show at the San Diego Comic-Con panel this year.
